would like to have you attend and help support the club that
provides the only safe, controlled environment for the use and

enforcement.

selection of prizes this year, with the largest number of
firearms and other prizes we have ever raffled off at a single

All of our Officers, Directors and Range Safety Officers

Funding to operate our shooting facility comes from membership

We hope we can count on your support so that we can continue to
provide all the services that our club gives to our community.
We have a number of ways that you can help:

P.L.I.N.K report: | |
A cooperative project of the El Dorado NRA ILA Members
Council, the El Dorado Rod & Gun Club, the National Rifle
Association, and the US Department of Agriculture, Forest
Service.
Ray Engler burned the scrap lumber. Richard Maynard coiled
up all of the cable scraps for recycling. Doug Becker killed
some more weeds. His generator powered a jack hammer muscled
by Michael Eribes de Flores, and others to install two
experimental 4 by 6 inch slip in and out 50 yard target rope
posts. We slid the eastern frame over to make the 100 yard
driveway an easier turn. Due to the slope of the land it is
not as level on the top now. We look forward to your
comments on if we should use this rope post method all the
way across, or invest again in all the lumber to replace the
shot up frames.
Jack Vranes donated another EMT kit, this one for the trap
range. Then Larry Carsten, Doug Ricciarelli, Tony Zepczyk,
Ed Dunn, Si Russell, and all humped many five gallon buckets
of dirt up to the top of the fifty yard berm. Tiring of this
ethnic fire drill they then loaded Phil Weidman's built up
Toyota pickup with the buckets. He then repeatedly backed
his three time Rubicon veteran truck up to the top of the
berm so they could faster pour the buckets of dirt over the
tires. We learned about the angle of repose. Phil had to
hold his foot on his brakes until it should have cramped.
I remembered the salsa but forgot the chips. I still scored
on a dozen donuts that Phil donated.
Happy New Year, Steve Morgan

Please save those pellet stove plastic bags for raking
up spent cartridges and shot shells at PLINK areas, and
Gun Club shooting ranges. They fit perfectly in 5
gallon paint buckets, and are easier to lift than big
black trash bags that usually burst open.
Just leave them at the range, or email
NRAPLINK@COMCAST.NET FOR PICK UP.
